| v4.22: |
- Panelization
text was placed intermittently on the panel layout when printing
to PDF.
- An incorrect
number of parts on the array was displyed on the Price Analysis
dialog when the "Let KwickFit Calculate the Best Matrix"
option was selected on the Array Definition dialog.
|
| v4.21: |
- Added shortcuts
for Export DXF, Export Text File with Commas, Export Text
File with Headers.
- When exporting
the "array view" to DXF, if the "Display Minimal
Sub Parts" options was enabled, the DXF output only included
the array outline and did not include the parts on the array.
- Changed the text
size of the DXF output to scale with the panel or the array.
|
| v4.2: |
- New features
for standard panels allow the part spacing, minimum panel
borders, etc... to be defined for each standard panel size
individually.
|
| v4.1: |
- Added feature
to export the layout to DXF.
|
| v4.03: |
- If KwickFit was
launched from Bacon Softwares’ Job Quote application
and then closed without running a calculation, KwickFit generated
an error on exit.
|
| v4.02: |
- If a layout parameter
such as the part spacing on the panel was changed after running
an array calculation and the calculation was re-run, the layout
would not show the array detail. This was strictly a user
interface issue and did not affect the layout calculation.
|
| v4.01: |
- When running
a calculation where KwickFit calculates the optimum array
design, the part size displayed in the panel layout data entry
form did not coincide with the size of the array that was
displayed with the layout. This was strictly a cosmetic issue
and did not affect the layout calculation.
Since allowing KwickFit to calculate the optimum array design
will yield layouts of varying sizes, as you select different
layouts from the fit list, the array size of the selected
layout will be displayed in the panel layout data entry form.
|
| v4.0: |
- New layout calculation
for round parts with round part nesting.
- New layout calculation
for panel shearing with grain matching.
- Improved user
interface with a maximized Fit List display.
- Individually
define Left, Right, Top, and Bottom panel borders and optionally
align the layout to the panel border dims.
- All arrays are
drawn with sub parts.
- User selectable
decimal precision from 3 to 6 places.
- New icons on
the Fit List identify layouts with and without rotated or
(nested circle parts).
- User selectable
background color for the Panel Layout Display.
- User definable
Fit List sort order (fewest rotations, largest borders or
largest borders, fewest rotations).
- Corrected an
issue with printing notes that caused part of the note text
to be truncated.
|
|
v3.06: |
- Updates
as required to be Windows XP compatible. Configured KwickFit
to take advantage of the new visual styles in Windows XP.
|
|
v3.05: |
- Enabled the spacing fields
during the evaluation period. When the evaluation period expires,
the spacing fields will be disabled and set to a value of
.133.
|
|
v3.04: |
- Added
support for opening files on the command line. Double clicking
on a file with a .kft extension, launches KwickFit and loads
the file. You can also pass the file on the command line when
starting KwickFit from another application. See the section
on Command Line Switches in the KwickFit help file for more
information.
|
|
v3.03: |
- Changed
the user interface so users running 800x600 resolution could
see the full data entry screen without having to scroll the
area. This is not a mandatory upgrade but it does present
an improved user interface.
|
|
v3.02: |
- Fixed
a bug that caused the hardcopy printout fonts to be displayed
incorrectly and the Design Notes (panel and or array) not
to print. We recommend that all KwickFit users, including
those evaluating KwickFit, download and install this update.
|
|
v3.01: |
- Added two buttons
to the "Welcome To KwickFit" dialog. One button
takes the user to this web site (www.micromeg.com) and the
other button allows the user to register KwickFit. This change
benefits only those who are evaluating the demo version of
KwickFit. Registered users do not need to apply this update.
|
|
v3.0: |
- KwickFit has
a new user interface where the Panelization Dialog has been
merged with the main application window. This part of the
user interface is now called the Panel Layout Parameters section.
- A tip of the
day dialog has been added with many useful tips for both new
and experienced KwickFit users.
- Added an item
to the KwickFit Help menu that will take users to the MicroMega
Solutions web site.
|
|
v2.92: |
- Corrected a
bug that displayed the array dimensions, array spacing, array
matrix and array rail information differently than the graphic
representation of the panel if the array was rotated on the
panel.
|
| v2.91: |
- Corrected a
bug that prevented the part spacing from being set to 0.0
in the Panelization Info dialog.
|
| v2.9: |
- Added Math
Pad A built in calculator that can be initiated on
each numeric field by pressing one the numeric operators (+-*/).
- Implemented
a new color selection dialog that is more user friendly and
allows the definition of custom colors.
- Increased the
precision of the numeric data displayed with the panelization
to 4 decimal places.
- Improved the
error handling for the numeric fields. Messages are more descriptive
and the cursor automatically moves to the field with the problem.
|
| v2.83: |
- Added file
options to save the current panelization as an ASCII flat
file. Two formats are available. A comma delimited format
and a file that has headers to identify each value.
|
| v2.82: |
- Changed the
limitations on standard panel sizes from .1 1000 to
.1 10000000 for users that use the metric system.
|
| v2.81: |
- Added
command line options to generate ASCII flat files of the current
panelization, to interface with Bacon Softwares Job
Quote System. Bacon Softwares products can be found
at www.baconsoft.com.
|
| v2.8: |
- You can
now define multiple configuration files which can be used
to setup configurations for separate work groups.
- You can now
add notes to the panelization. There are two notes fields
located in the Design Information dialog. One for notes specific
to an array and one for notes that apply to the panel. The
notes are printed when the panelization is printed.
- You now have
a Fit List Range (%), which is located in the Default Panelization
Dialog. You can use this field to specify a minimum panel
utilization range for the alternate panelizations show in
the fit list. Set the range at 20% and KwickFit will list
only those panelizations that are within 20% of the
maximum panelization.
- We added features
to copy the displayed panelization to the clipboard so the
image can be pasted into other applications.
- We added a
user selectable font feature for the text that is displayed
and printed with the panelization.
- KwickFit now
provides a somewhat more intuitive list of alternate panelizations.
It still calculates the optimum panelization. but it also
provides alternates that are not maximized, but may offer
a reasonable alternative.
- We added a
progress dialog for the calculation. Depending on how many
standard panels you have defined, asking KwickFit to calculate
the best array for the panel can be a lengthy process. On
slower computers it could take minutes, appearing as though
KwickFit was locked up. The progress dialog provides feedback
on the calculation process as well as a means to cancel the
calculation.
|
| v2.71: |
- Bug Fix: If
the part size + the minimum border = the panel size, KwickFit
would not place the part one up on the panel. Prior to this
version, the addition of the one up part and borders could
not equal the panel size, it had to be less than the panel
size. This problem has been corrected in 2.71.
|
| v2.7: |
- Most of the
improvements in this version are geared towards improving
performance. In previous versions, KwickFit ran a calculation
each time you selected a different panel size. In version
2.7 the calculation is run once for all panel sizes and will
recalculate only when you change values in the dialogs.
- The Fit list
dialog was eliminated an Fit list functionality was added
to the Panelization Info dialog. The Standard Panel list box
was enhanced to show a tree view for each panel size. Simply
expand the tree to see alternate fits. They're sorted in descending
order based on the number of parts on the panel.
- We added buttons
to the Toolbar for the Panel view, Array view and pricing
dialog. We added a Calculate button to the Panelization Info
dialog. When the button is enabled, the calculation is not
current. Pressing the button runs the calculation. When the
button is disabled, the calculation is current. This is an
additional feature. Pressing the Enter key still runs the
calculation and transverses the fields in the dialog.
- Fixed a bug
that did not save the maximum array size during a file save.
|
| v2.64: |
- We corrected a bug in the recent
file that that did not preserve the list between sessions.
KwickFit now keeps a list of the four most recent files opened.
- We removed the "Default
Panel" button from the "Panel and Array Setup"
dialog. Previous versions displayed the default panel sizes
in sorted order in the list box on the "Panelization
Info" dialog. This inherently displayed the smallest
panel first and the largest panel last. To make the display
more user friendly, we turn off the sort and added ordering
buttons to the "Panel and Array Setup" dialog to
allow you to arrange panels in an order of your preference.
The first panel in the list is the default panel.
